Ivett Karina Sandoval Carrillo, Ph. D.
Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis
I have worked as a psychotherapist for 30 years. I work with children, adolescents and adults addressing their emotional difficulties. I am interested in understanding each patient in terms of their personal history, the internal and external forces at work in them and their environment based on scientific knowledge, as well as warmth, openness, flexibility and commitment. I mainly practice Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy based on Attachment Theory; I also integrate other therapeutic modalities tailoring my therapeutic approach to particular needs.
My work is informed by my clinical experience and my work as a researcher. I graduated as a Psychologist from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, I am a Psychoanalyst by the APJ (Asociación Psicoanalítica Jalisciense), I have a PhD in Neurosciences from the Instituto de Neurociencias of the Universidad de Guadalajara and I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center at Yale University. Additionally, I am certified in the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) by Mary Main at the University of California at Berkeley. I am a founding member of the College of Research Fellows of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA). I belong to the College of Clinical and Liaison Psychologists of the State of Jalisco. I am a member of the National System of Researchers Level 1 in Mexico.
Georgina Ibarrarán Pernas, Ph. D.
Neuropsychology, Neuro-rehabilitation and Psychotherapy
I have worked as a psychotherapist and neuropsychologist for 26 years. I started moderating group therapy for patients with schizophrenia at the San Juan de Dios Psychiatric Hospital in Guadalajara. Currently I work in private practice doing neuropsychological evaluations and neuro rehabilitation for children and adults. I also conduct psychotherapy based on mentalization and schemas to address emotional difficulties.
I graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. I hold a specialty in Child and Adult Neuropsychology from the Instituto Nacional de Psiquiatría. I hold a Master's Degree in Neurosciences from the Instituto de Neurociencias of the Universidad de Guadalajara. I obtained a Doctorate in Education from the Secretary of Public Education of the State of Jalisco. Additionally, I am certified in various trainings in Mindfulness and Meditation techniques. I am a founding member of the Colegio de Psicólogos Clínicos y de Enlace del Estado de Jalisco (CPCEJ).
Patricia Beyer
Education and Play Therapy
My work has been dedicated to children for over thirty years. I consider play as the best way to teach, guide, observe, listen and understand children's basic needs. My work has consisted of playing with children and supporting parents as a guide to a secure attachment parenting.
I am a graduate of Preschool Education of Escuela Normal F.E.P. of Instituto Pedagógico Anglo Español at México city. I worked for Secretary of Initial and preschool Education since 1987. I studied the courses "Child and Adolescent Psychology" and "Patterns of Behavior and Psychopedagogical Development in the Family" at the Centro Nacional De Extensiones of Anáhuac University, and "The Baby, the Child and the Adolescent; Update on Intervention Strategies, Individual, Family and Group Psychoanalysis" at the Instituto Jalisciense de Psicoanálisis y Psicoterapia.
Sarahí Barajas Ascencio BSc
Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
I am a psychologist from the University of Guadalajara. I am currently studying a master's degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the Open University of Catalonia and I collaborate in this center as part of my professional practices. I have worked as a child and adolescent psychotherapist in individual and group therapy. At the beginning of my career I worked in the area of child psychopedagogy in civil society organizations, moderating groups of children and adolescents on issues of personal development. I took courses in play and art therapy, and in care for victims of sexual aggression; and courses in emotional literacy, mindfulness and yoga for children.
